Our client is seeking a passionate and dedicated Continuous Improvement Lead to join their team in Kluang, Johor. This role is pivotal in driving the Mill Continuous Improvement culture, structure, and activities to reach Manufacturing Excellence. The successful candidate will deploy LEAN tools and focus on people to transform all functions of the Mill; Safety, Operations, Quality, Cost, Logistics, whilst meeting the required standards of safety, GMP and product quality at minimized cost.

What you'll do:

As a Continuous Improvement Lead, you will be responsible for leading Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvements Program Deployment & Sustainability. Your leadership skills will be essential as you lead all initiative/programs of global and local programs to build World Class Manufacturing Culture in the organization.

• Promote and participate in the development and maintenance of the Mill Environment, Health, and Safety Management System (EHSMS).
• Support/lead EHS&S events investigations to ensure root cause evaluations are conducted and effective corrective/preventative actions are implemented.
• Lead all initiative/programs of global and local programs to build World Class Manufacturing Culture in the organization.
• Monitor the progress of these initiatives at the mill through reviews & audits. Check & adjust to improve the effectiveness continuously.
• Coordinate and facilitate Mill Cost savings opportunities and implementation.
• Benchmark and share best practices aiming to continuously improve the manufacturing capability.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Continuous Improvement Lead role will have a Degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, Supply Chain Management, Science or other related field. You should bring at least 10 years exposure in production or complex industrial operations.

• Degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, Supply Chain Management, Science or other related field.
• At least 10 years exposure in production or complex industrial operations.
• At least LEAN Green Belt with at least 5 years in LEAN and implemented LEAN.
• English fluency in both writing and speaking. Good communicator.
• Desirable: Advanced degree, Project Management, Inter-functional business understanding and knowledge.
