JOB PURPOSE

  • Manage the Bank’s balance sheet management, strategize the Bank liquidity and profit rate exposures and propose financing/deposit products’ pricing to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, approved limits/policies and competitive pricing for the Bank’s products.
  • Optimize the Bank’s profit by minimizing cost through efficient and effective asset and liability management and product pricing.
  • Contribute to the department’s administrative cost saving against budget.
  • Ensure compliance with related frameworks, guidelines and letters issued by the regulator.
  • Perform daily monitoring, communication and monthly reporting of the Bank’s ALM matters to respective departments and Management/BRMC/Board to ensure the Bank’s position is within the risk appetite as well as regulatory and internal limits.
  • Alert ALCO members on any breach in limits.
  • Ensure completeness of ALCO meeting material and ALCO meeting is conducted properly.
  • Advise business units on ALCO decisions and monitor the action plan.
  • Summarize, verify, analyze and report the ALM snapshot to be presented to ALCO meeting.
  • Continuously assess and strategize the Bank’s asset and liability position and product pricing.
  • Ensure signing off done for new/revision of framework/policy and operational manual as well as product from other departments.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or Risk Management.

Experience:

  • Minimum 6 years experience in Asset and Liability Management (ALM), particularly liquidity management, pricing, handling full set of accounts, management accounting, and related financial analysis exposure.
  • Good knowledge in the bank’s products, investment and credit portfolios, operating systems and bank strategic and tactical plans and economics scenarios.

  • Good written and presentation skills will be essential to operate in a high-profile environment with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills and meticulous
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Mature and quick/wise thinking for decision-making.
  • Good skills in MS Office and other applications.
  • Ability to prioritize and identify potential issues with good problem-solving
