Job Summary:

Responsible for the underwriting function of the business, including assisting the immediate superior in implementing the operations strategy in underwriting to support the company's goals and achieving the operational/performance goals of the department.

Job Description:

• Perform underwriting cases within the turnaround time.
• Achieve operational/performance goals for the section.
• Assist immediate superior in developing, tracking, and managing the performance of the service provider.
• Follow up and support service provider in New Business.
• Support and respond to Operations Help Desk within the turnaround time.
• Ensure all reports are ready within the stipulated time.
• Train and cross-train within and outside the unit.
• Upload and download Life Insurance Association of Malaysia (LIAM) records to/ from LIAM/ Insurance Services Malaysia (ISM) website.
• Assist immediate supervisor with user acceptance testing.

Job Specification:

• Formal degree or higher; other professional qualifications are an advantage, e.g., FLMI.
• Fresh graduates can be considered.
• Candidates with experience will have an advantage.
• Good communication and relationship-building skills.
• Good analytical skill.
• Basic knowledge in Takaful/Insurance.
• IT literate.
