The Job:

The position is responsible to assist in month end closing activities for general ledger closing and ensuring the timely completion and its accuracy of reports and finance operations activities.

The Role:

• Perform month-end closing activities, including preparing journal entries, maintaining appropriate supporting documentation and ensure all accounting entries are properly recorded and reconciled time to time.
• Perform daily finance operations activities and support monthly account reconciliation and financial closing activities.
• Perform account payable and receivable transaction processing in accordance to the business procedure and ensure transactions processing are met based on the agreed deadline.
• Preparation of monthly/quarterly/annually reporting package in accordance with local MFRS and local regulator requirement.
• Assist in other ad-hoc assignments as and when required.
• Maintains awareness of industry trends on regulatory compliance, emerging threats and technologies in order to understand the risk and better safeguard the company.
• Highlights any potential concerns /risks and proactively shares best risk management practices.

The Person:

• Possess a recognised Degree in Accounting or Finance
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. Work experience in finance/ accounting/ insurance field will be an added advantage
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• High level of integrity, takes accountability of work and good attitude over teamwork
• Takes initiative to improve current state of things and adaptable to embrace new changes
