Responsibilities

• Responsible in raw material and semi-finished parts purchases.
• Developing suitable product plan proposal and price assortment strategy that delivers profit to the Company.
• Negotiating cost prices, orders, delivery method, shipping and payments terms with local and overseas suppliers.
• Maintain Purchase Orders and ensure on time and accurate submission of orders to suppliers.
• Manage and co-ordinate all procurement activities (include risk buy) associated with new products, product transfer or last time buy.
• Responsible for data base integrity within his/her assigned area of responsibility.
• Locates and develops sources of supply through various levels of contacts of suppliers and potential suppliers.
• Direct and/or secures and analyses price quotations from suppliers where applicable.
• Responsible for accurate Purchase Orders & approve Purchase Orders for section in-charge.
• Maintains awareness of market conditions concerning possible shortages, extended lead times, possible price increases and etc.
• Manage and control excess and obsolete material, monitor supplier delivery performance and maintain inventory level to targets.
• Maintain close liaison with suppliers on their production capacities, readiness, and material supply. Visit suppliers as leader of a supplier qualification team to determine if sources are capable of meeting present or future company needs.
• Able to travel as required.
