Key Responsibilities

  • Preparation of Financial Statements, including Income Statements, Balance Sheets, Tax Returns, financial forecasts & Governmental Agency Reports.
  • Timely, Accurate Reconciliation & Closing of Month End/Year End of Accounting Modules.
  • Preparation of Monthly, Quarterly & Annual Schedules to include Uncompleted Contracts (Order in Hand), Gross Profit, Overhead, Fixed Asset, Depreciation & Loans.
  • Ensuring financial records keeping methods are as required by standards and regulations.
  • Prepare & Analyse Work-In-Progress Reports & Job Cost Analysis Reports.
  • Meet with Senior & Project Management to Review Job Status & Performance Against Budget. Analyze Actual vs. Expected Results, Identifying the Cause of Variance or Trend.
  • Maintain Fixed Asset Register & Record Monthly Entries for Depreciation, Additions & Disposals, A/R Billing & Reconciliations with Cash Management and Cash-flow forecasting.
  • Review and authorize all payments ensuring accuracy and appropriate approvals.
  • Periodically analyse data and review the financial reports to advise top management on cost reduction areas and profit optimization suggestions.
  • Budgets – coordinate the development and monitoring of the Group budgets and financial forecasting including Board reporting.
  • Reporting to relevant stakeholders –
  • Communicate on timely and accurate information.
  • Coordinate the preparation of monthly and annual financial reporting.
  • Coordinate the preparation and communication of annual financial statement and board reports
  • Ensuring timely provision of financial and statistical reports for management and HQ.
  • Liaison with external auditors to ensure that audits are properly planned, carried out and that financial reports are prepared within set timelines.

Requirements

  • Candidate must possess at least bachelor’s degree and/or ACCA.
  • Minimum 2 Year(s) of managerial working experience is mandatory for this position.
  • Required language(s): Mandarin, English, Bahasa Malaysia, to liaise with Mandarin stakeholder.
  • SQL & SAP Accounting software knowledge.
  • Knowledge in Transfer Pricing for related party transaction.

Good to have criteria below:

  • Possess excellent analytical skills, interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Accounting experience in Engineering firm is a preference and an advantage.
