Project and Support Engineer (Automation) - #10511204

As a Project/Support Engineer, your role will be central to coordinating all project elements including engineering design, quality planning, manufacturing, installation, and commissioning and final buy-off phases as well as ensuring the project remained within budget in order to meet the requirements of the customer’s needs, as well as supporting the Live system.

You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and optimize integrated solutions. Your efforts will contribute to the successful deployment of complex systems and technologies.

Job Scope

• Participate in automation equipment installation planning, delivery and implementation activities.
• Collaborate with software developers, hardware engineers, and other parties to create and implement integrated systems.
• Contribute to the formulation of equipment specifications and oversee the coordination of mechanical designs for diverse project components like machinery, structures, civil works, fire protection, and building services, ensuring the execution of projects to a high standard.
• Actively participate in integrating sub-systems within logistics solutions, take an active role in incorporating elements such as Conveyors, ASRS, AMR robots, AGV, and storage systems.
• Monitor project timelines and facilitate the synchronization of hardware and software requisites with providers.
• You play a key role within the Customer Service organization.

Job Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related engineering background.
• More than 3 years working experience.
• Experience in the management of subcontractors to deliver electrical installations and control systems at customer locations.
• Applicants need to possess a valid CIDB card.
• Several years of working experience in an automated industrial or material handling environment (automotive, ecommerce, cold chain or 3PL industries).
• Application knowledge of industrial warehouse systems (conveyors, AGV, ASRS, AMR, monorail, etc.) would be a distinct advantage. Familiar with the common project management standards.
• Good customer service skills including being able to communicate at all levels. Effectively communicate with both customer and supplier project teams.
• Immediate availability is preferred
