2. Ideal candidate to play a crucial role in fostering a culture of safety and well-being within the organization.
3. Work collaboratively with various departments to ensure compliance with safety regulations and implement effective safety programs.
4. Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures.
5. Conduct regular inspections and audits of the workplace to identify potential hazards and unsafe practices.
6. Collaborate with management and department heads to address specific safety concerns and implement corrective actions.
7. Provide training sessions on safety protocols, emergency response procedures, and the proper use of safety equipment.
8. Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses; prepare detailed reports; and recommend preventive measures.
9. Keep abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices to ensure ongoing compliance.
10. Conduct risk assessments and assist in the development of mitigation strategies.
11. Maintain accurate records of safety-related incidents, training sessions, and inspections.
12. Coordinate with external agencies and authorities on safety matters.
13. Participate in the development and review of emergency response plans.
14. Act as a resource for employees, answering safety-related queries and providing guidance.
Qualifications:
1. Being a competent Safety and Health Officer; a green book holder.
2. Proven experience as a Safety and Health officer.
3. Experience working in the manufacturing industry is preferred.
4. In-depth knowledge of safety regulations and standards.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
8. Proficient in the use of Google Suite/Microsoft applications.
