Candidates should have:
• PhD in Environmental Engineering
• Strong interest and expertise in teaching, research and be involved in scholarly activities.
• Minimum 5 years teaching experience.
• At least publish 3 international journal in WOS/ Scopus.

As an Assistant Professor, your duties and responsibilities shall be as follows:
1. Publish at least one (1) International Journal paper (listed in Clarivate Analytics Web of Science Citation Index or equivalent) and one (1) paper in International Conference Proceedings (listed in Clarivate Analytics Conference Proceedings or equivalent) per year or two (2) International Journal papers (listed in Clarivate Analytics Web of Science Citation Index or equivalent) per year. Patent may be accepted as a substitute for each International Journal paper but must be of exceptional quality and merit as judged by international experts from abroad. The journals, proceedings, materials or patents that meet the acceptable international standard shall be decided by the University’s management at its sole and absolute discretion;
2. Achieve at least above average grades (a minimum of 3.0 out of 5.0 in UTAR teaching scale) in all teaching evaluations for courses taught at UTAR when required to;
3. Secure at least one (1) External Research & Development grant, one (1) Internal Research & Development grant and one (1) Consultancy project per year;
4. Supervise to completion at least one (1) postgraduate candidate per year;
5. Serve as an active member in technical team in the field of study/research;
6. Demonstrate recognition of your expertise either through industrial consultation or invitation to international meetings / conferences as a resource person;
7. Demonstrate satisfactory administrative work when required; and
8. Any other duties as assigned by the Faculty and the University.
