Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Manager, Legal. What you'll do:

As an Assistant Manager in our Legal department, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the company's future. The key responsibilities included the following:-

• Conduct in-depth legal reviews and/or draft contracts and agreements to safeguard organizational interests.
• Provide expert support in managing litigation matters, encompassing document preparation and representation in legal proceedings.
• Perform thorough legal research and analysis on topics relevant to the asset management industry, including regulatory requirements, case law, and industry standards.
• Oversee licensing obligations, including the acquisition and renewal of necessary licenses and registrations.
• Maintain meticulous and well-organized legal documentation and records, encompassing contracts, licenses, regulatory filings, and litigation files.
• Foster seamless collaboration with other departments to ensure alignment on legal matters and support cross-functional initiatives.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Assistant Manager, Legal role will bring a wealth of experience and a strong background in relevant industry.

• Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Law, and brings 3-8 years relevant working experience preferably with experience in capital markets or in the relevant areas of practice that meets the job requirements.
• Possess good working knowledge of the Capital Markets and Services Act, Companies Act, Personal Data Protection, Anti-Money Laundering, Anti-Terrorism Financing, Proceeds of Illegal Activities Act, and other legislation applicable.
• Demonstrates robust analytical capabilities, adeptness in drafting, and proficient negotiation skills.
• Demonstrates the ability to work autonomously and possesses a strong command of relevant legal principles and practices. Additionally, leadership attributes would be viewed favourably.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, encompassing Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
