Flex Fleet Sdn Bhd is a Kuala Lumpur-based manager of offshore “FLEX” crewboats that are designed and built by Penguin Shipyard International in Singapore.

The business of operating a fleet of high-performance vessels requires a dedicated team of ship management professionals with specialized skill sets.

We are seeking suitable candidates to join us in the following vocation:

EXECUTIVE, PURCHASING

Reporting to the Technical Manager, you shall be an integral member of Flex Fleet’s ship management team in Kuala Lumpur, which manages a fleet of modern high-speed crew boats. Your key responsibilities shall include:

• Report directly to the Technical Manager on matters pertaining to purchasing.
• Purchasing of ship's Spares for Vessels both locally and overseas after approval.
• Schedule the Shipping of Spares / Equipment to Vessels.
• Issuance of POs to Vendors, Repair Contractors & Services Company
• Coordination works and repair Services lend support to the Technical and operations Departments in terms of material movement.
• Mobilization of Equipment for repair / return to Vessels.
• Administrate transactions via the Company’s integrated electronic system such as company purchasing software (SAP).
• Liaison work with the Client's Agent concerning vessel clearance/movement.
• Liaise with Overseas Shipping Agents on the movement of spares/materials.
• Contribute and participate in all HSE matters as most appropriate that is in line with the Company's HSE policy.

Requirement:

• Candidates should possess a minimum of a bachelor’s degree or equivalent. Fresh graduates are highly encouraged to apply.
• Expected skillsets include a good command of English (spoken and written), effective communication skills, and proficiency in relevant Microsoft Office programs.
• A can-do proactive attitude and am a team player who possesses integrity and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Resourceful, self-driven, proactive, and independent worker.
• Have good professional ethics and a strong sense of responsibility.
